Born in Bescanó, Girona, Catalonia, Jorquera started playing in FC Barcelona's youth ranks in 1994. After that he went to its C side in 1998, and was promoted to FC Barcelona B the following year.

After loan stints with third level sides AD Ceuta and CE Mataró, Jorquera returned as first-choice for the B team. His first appearance in the top flight was against Athletic de Bilbao on January 17, 2004 (a 1–1 home draw) and, the following season, following the departure of unsettled Rüştü Reçber, he was permanently ascended to the first team.

In March 2007 he signed a contract extension with Barcelona until June 2008 However, on December 29, playing an unofficial match for the Catalonia national football team, Jorquera suffered an ACL injury to his right knee, which kept him out of the pitches for six months. Barcelona signed Celta de Vigo's José Manuel Pinto until the end of the season.

In March 2008, his contract was extended again, this time running until summer 2010. On December 9, Jorquera got his first start in 2008–09, playing in a 2–3 home loss against FC Shakhtar Donetsk, in the last Champions League group stage match. Víctor Valdés, amongst other regulars, was being rested for El Clásico against Real Madrid, the following Saturday.[2] Additionally, Pinto had previously been cast as the starter in the Spanish Cup.

In August 2009, Jorquera signed with Girona FC of the second division, with Barcelona having the right to recall him if needed. After starting throughout most of the season, however, the 31-year old announced his retirement, citing personal reasons.

Pinto, a product of Real Betis' youth system, moved up to the first team and made his La Liga debut for the club during the 1997–98 campaign (one match as a second-half substitute against Racing de Santander).

Unable to dislodge Toni Prats at Betis, Pinto switched to Celta de Vigo a year later. He went on to win the Ricardo Zamora Trophy for the 2005–06 season, after allowing just 29 goals in 37 matches, a goals per match ratio of 0.78. He was also eventually awarded the captain's armband, appearing in 125 games in the first division and 56 in the second, as well as competing in the UEFA Champions League (in 2003–04, although backing up Pablo Cavallero in the domestic league, he would appear in five group stage matches, as Celta proggressed to the round-of-16 game) and in the UEFA Cup.

Pinto signed on loan for FC Barcelona on 18 January 2008. He arrived as cover for the injured Albert Jorquera after the latter damaged knee ligaments during the festive break. He made his debut on April 26, in a match against Deportivo de La Coruña, which Barcelona lost 2–0. His second match also ended in defeat, as Barcelona lost 3–2 (despite being 2–0 up) at home to RCD Mallorca.

On 30 May 2008, Barcelona signed Pinto on a permanent deal, for two years and €500,000 During his first full season, he was first-choice in the Copa del Rey, which Barcelona won, including the final against Athletic Bilbao.

On 22 October 2010, UEFA opened a disciplinary case, charging Pinto with "improper conduct" following his actions in a Champions League group stage match against F.C. Copenhagen, two days earlier. Allegedly, he whistled to fool opponent player César Santin - who was running through on goal in the 26th minute - into thinking he was offside, leading him to stop, believing that the referee, Stéphane Lannoy, had blown his whistle. The referee allowed the play to continue and did not show Pinto a yellow card for the alleged deception.
Following the game, Copenhagen strongly distanced itself from Pinto's conduct. The incident was captured on video, showing the goalkeeper apparently whistling and then gloating over the incident. After the investigation was concluded, he was suspended for two games

Cristiano Ronaldo 2011 Top News haircut hairstyle

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, OIH, (born 5 February 1985),commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a winger or striker for Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid and is the captain of the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo is the most expensive player in football history after moving from Manchester United to Real Madrid in a transfer deal worth £80 (€94m, US$132m). In addition, his contract with Real Madrid, in which he is to be paid £11 per year over the following six years, makes him the highest-paid football player in the world, and values him at €1 billion as per his buyout clause.

Ronaldo began his career as a youth player for Andorinha, where he played for two years, then moved to Nacional. In 1997, he made a move to Portuguese giants Sporting Clube de Portugal. Ronaldo's precocious talent caught the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson and signed the 18-year-old for £12.24 million in 2003. The following season, Ronaldo won his first club honour, the FA Cup and played at Euro 2004 with Portugal. Ronaldo scored his first international goal in the opening game of the tournament against Greece, although Greece won 2–1. Portugal reached the final, which they again lost to Greece.

Ronaldo was the first player to win all four main PFA and FWA awards, doing so in 2007. In 2008, Ronaldo won the Champions League with United, was named best forward and player of the tournament and was the competition's top goalscorer as well as winning the European Golden Shoe, becoming the first winger to do so, and topping the Premier League Golden Boot award. He won three of the four main PFA and FWA trophies, only missing the PFA Young Player of the Year, and was named the FIFPro, World Soccer and Onze d'Or Footballer of the Yearand the FIFA World Player of the Year, in addition to becoming Manchester United's first Ballon d'Or winner in 40 years. Ronaldo holds the distinction of being the first player to win the FIFA Puskás Award, an honour handed by FIFA to the best goal of the year. He scored that goal from 40 yards out against FC Porto in a UEFA Champions League quarter-final match, while playing for Manchester United.Three-time Ballon d'Or winner Johan Cruyff said in an interview on 2 April 2008, "Ronaldo is better than George Best and Denis Law, who were two brilliant and great players in the history of United

On 15 May 2011, Ronaldo became the highest goalscorer in a season in the history of Real Madrid with 51 goals, surpassing the club's previous high of 49 by Ferenc Puskás. He would later finish the season with a total of 53 goals, making him the first Real Madrid player to ever reach and surpass 50 goals in a season. Six days later, Ronaldo broke the record of most goals ever scored in a season in La Liga with 40, surpassing Telmo Zarra's mark established in 1951 and Hugo Sanchez's mark matched in 1990. Ronaldo also broke Zarra's record of most goals per minute, with a goal scored every 70.7 minutes. The newspaper Marca, the official deliverer of the Pichichi Trophy (the top La Liga goalscorer award), claimed that Ronaldo scored 41 goals. By doing so, he won the European Golden Shoe award once again, becoming the first player to win the trophy in two different championships.
